Another new addition to the JRP 52mm range is our 12V single voltmeter gauge. These gauges allow you to monitor the voltage of either your primary or secondary battery system, depending on how you choose to wire them. They also offer the ability to set a warning if voltage drops below your desired level—making them especially useful for our diesel 4x4 customer base.

These voltmeter gauges are particularly helpful for customers already running our 2-in-1 Boost + EGT gauges or those planning to do so. Since the 2-in-1 Boost + EGT gauges monitor your primary battery and include a warning function, you can use this single dedicated voltmeter gauge to monitor your secondary battery—providing full coverage for both systems.

To monitor a second battery system, simply connect the constant +12V power and ground to your secondary battery, and run the ignition +12V from your primary battery. This setup ensures the gauge powers on with the ignition while still monitoring the second battery’s voltage via the constant +12V. Just note that both battery systems must share a common ground for this to work properly, and the gauge will draw power from the second battery.

These gauges are designed for 12V systems and have a readout range of 8V to 18V. While we do have plans to introduce a 24V version and a dual volts gauge in this style, for now, this single voltmeter gauge is a great option for achieving dual-voltage monitoring when paired with our existing 2-in-1 gauge.

If you’re still undecided, our multi-gauge systems also include dual voltage monitoring as standard. So if you’re weighing up between a 52mm setup or an all-in-one solution, the multi-gauge may be worth a look.
