Upgrade your headlights without triggering vehicle errors. The Stedi H4 CANBUS Cancellation Module is designed to prevent headlight warning lights, bulb-out errors, flickering and power loss when upgrading to LED or HID globes in CANBUS-equipped vehicles.
Ideal for modern vehicles that monitor headlight current draw, this module ensures your lighting upgrade works seamlessly with the factory ECU.
Key Features
- Prevents dash warning lights when upgrading to LED or HID
- Resolves polarity issues on negatively switched headlight systems (common in Toyota)
- Eliminates LED flicker on vehicles with PWM headlight circuits (e.g., Jeep Wrangler)
- Plug-and-play design for easy installation
- Suitable for CANBUS-equipped vehicles that detect bulb failure
- Includes resistive load to stabilise current draw
Why You May Need a CANBUS Module
Modern vehicles use multiple ECUs linked by the CANBUS network to monitor systems—including headlight circuits.
If the factory halogen bulb is replaced with an LED/HID that draws more or less current, the ECU may:
- Trigger a bulb-out error
- Cut power to the headlight
- Cause flickering or intermittent illumination
The CANBUS module corrects the load signal so the vehicle recognises the new lights as normal.
Additional Information
- Also resolves flickering caused by PWM circuits (common in US-built vehicles)
- Must be mounted to a metal surface — CANBUS cancellers convert excess voltage into heat
