Terrain Tamer H55F Gearbox & Transfer Case Overhaul Kit – Early GBK3/TK4

Terrain Tamer GBK3/TK4 gearbox and transfer case overhaul kit for early Toyota LandCruiser H55F 5-speed manual gearboxes with the early split transfer case.

Vehicle suitability

For applicable H55F-equipped 40, 60 and 70 Series Toyota LandCruisers built approximately October 1982 to September/October 1985, depending on model. Applications include BJ42, BJ60, BJ70, BJ73, BJ75, FJ40, FJ45, FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ73, FJ75, HJ47, HJ60, HJ61 and HJ75 when fitted with the relevant early H55F transmission and transfer case.

Important transfer-case check: this kit is intended for the earlier 34 mm transfer-case idler shaft arrangement. This measurement identifies the transfer-case version; the shaft itself is not supplied in the kit.

Kit information

Combined gearbox and transfer case overhaul kit containing applicable bearings, seals, gaskets and selected synchroniser service components such as boots, keys and springs. The complete 1st/2nd synchroniser hub assembly and gearbox input shaft are not included. Contents depend on Terrain Tamer's current kit specification.

Select the right kit

For applicable later H55F units from approximately October 1985 with the 38 mm transfer-case idler shaft, see GBK4/TK5. For 1HZ-powered HZJ70/HZJ73/HZJ75/HZJ77 applications, check GBK14/TK5. Clutch input shaft spline count alone does not determine the overhaul kit; the input shaft is not included.
